The Excelsior Grand Hotel is a modern and efficient hotel located in the centre of the lively city of Catania, a stone’s throw from the natural scenery of Etna. The hotel, which has always played an important role in the city’s events, has reopened in 2001; its new furnishings are enhanced by rich decorations, stuccoes and marbles, an emotive setting for the hotel’s traditional charm and attention to detail. The vivid Sicilian colours lend warmth to the sober, elegant atmosphere, striking a pleasing balance between the classic and the contemporary. The Excelsior Grand Hotel has 158 elegantly furnished and modernly equipped rooms. The rooms are all sound-insulated and fitted with glass windows and large, comfortable bathrooms so to offer our guests the highest comfort. For the most demanding guests we also have the availability of five Junior Suites and 13 Suites.
An entire floor has been reserved for non-smokers.

The Le Zagare restaurant serves guests in a large, brightly lit dining room. Every detail of the furnishings is cared for, in a harmony of delicate shades. The restaurant gives onto the internal garden, providing a view during the summer months of a leafy oasis of plants and citrus trees.
The creative, high-level cuisine features authentic regional flavours and is very attentive to products from this rich and generous soil. An excellent selection of wines, including some important local labels.

The spacious conference room equipped with the latest facilities are composed of six rooms, seating from 10 to 130, and a Conference Centre, with its Business Centre and secretarial area, workstation and fax facilities, that can hold up to 350 people.
