The approach to Villa Margherita is along a romantic lime avenue with interspersed antique statues.

During the 17th centuty the Villa housed the guest rooms of the noble Venetian Contarini family and is today considered an example of a Veneto “house”, in which simplicity and elegance are at the service of its patrons.

The original 16th century building is flanked by a long 19th century addition, enhanced by a five-arch portico.

Like the discrete conversation niches indoors, this shady veranda provides an excellent setting for moments of relaxation.

In the parlours and drawing room - with their mirrors, frescoes, stuccos and glowing open hearths - one can savour precious silences and a delightfully peaceful atmosphere.

Tranquillity and harmony pervade the communal areas, as much in the dining hall as in the Venetian “campiello”, which opens onto the immense green of the park behind the Villa.
